Welcome on the website of the RBSF (Royal Belgian Ski Federation).
The Royal Belgian Ski Federation is the only Belgian VZW that is a member of the international ski organization "FIS" (Fédération International de Ski) and the international biathlon union "IBU". The RBSF is also connected to and an active member of the BOIC.
Every Belgian racer who wants to participate at FIS/IBU competitions must thus be a member of the RBSF, whether he/she practices alpine ski, snowboard, cross country or biathlon.
Since you are a member of a ski club that's member of a League, you are automatically member of the RBSF. That's how you can participate at Regional and Belgian competition. When you reach certain selection thresholds, you can even participate at international FIS/IBU competitions, or the Olympic Games.
The RBSF (a national federation) has three connected members: a Flemish League (VSSF), a French-speaking League (FFBS) and a German-speaking League (OSWV). Each of those have skiclubs as members.
Skiclubs can only join their Regional League: either the Flemish (VSSF), Walloon (FFBS) or East German (OSWV) association or federation.
These skiclubs are physical organizations: you can become a member of it, you can participate -via these skiclubs- to competition and get organised trainings.
